The Top 5 Rooftop Bars in Singapore

As a densely populated city, Singapore spreads upwards rather than just horizontally. This trend for ever higher buildings soon made the maritime city famous for its rooftop bars. But what are the must-sees of high-up nightlife?

1) Cé La Vi

Perched above the SkyPark at Marina Bay Sands circa 200 meters above sea level, the Cé La Vi offers a beautiful view over the ocean, the city, and across the famous rooftop infinity pool. Sitting on the cozy couches of the open-air terrace, you can enjoy contemporary Asian cuisine and signature cocktails. The restaurant has menus for a variety of dietary needs and the Sky Bar offers select burgers and snacks. After dinner, you can dance the night away in the club area, the SkyLounge.

2) 1-Altitude

Sitting on the 63rd of One Raffles Place, 1-Altitude is the highest rooftop bar in Singapore and even the highest alfresco bar in the whole world. You can enjoy gourmet food from the award-winning restaurant Stellar or relax in the Alt Café & Bar. There is usually a live DJ or band providing a soundtrack to the 360-degree view.

3) Smoke and Mirrors

This bar is on a comparatively low floor but still puts forward impressive views. Located on the 6th floor on top of the National Gallery, its terrace runs parallel to St Andrew’s Road, offering a view of the Padang playing field, Esplanade Park, and Marina Bay. Perfect if you want to take in the city lights at night.

4) Mr Stork

This garden-like oasis in the city comes with cobbled terrace paths and cozy teepee huts. Mr Stork is served by Andaz restaurants, famous for its indigenous cuisine. Their signature fruity botanical cocktails come highly recommended, as well as their own Andaz Pale Ale.

5) LeVeL33

LeVeL33 is the world’s highest craft brewery – if you cannot decide between all the microbrews, you can also order a platter of samplers. The terrace and balcony wind around the building and have seats right at the edge, perfect for taking in the skyline. If you prefer a more enclosed setting, you can also book a private dining room with a stunning view.
