Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

Black Friday Nintendo Switch Deals

Nintendo Switch Black Friday: It might still be a little while away, but making an early start on thinking about the upcoming Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals this November is never a bad idea. Getting a jump start on these deals is especially wise since we’ll likely be seeing three models on offer this year, including the original Nintendo Switch, the new Nintendo Switch model with its extended battery life, and the Nintendo Switch Lite. With more models on the market, we could be seeing more Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals than ever before.

Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals have been, in the past, a bit like gold dust. Amazon Lightning deals offering the best reductions sell out in seconds, but thankfully other retailers are much better at doing slightly less attractive deals, but with much more stock behind them. Retailers like Walmart, and Best Buy, alongside Amazon outside of lightning deals, will have a good selection of Nintendo Switch bundle deals, which should get you a console along with a game or two. Perhaps even a case if you’re really good.

The Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals are getting closer now and right here is where you’ll find everything you need to know about them.

We’ll be rounding up all the best bundles and prices for the regular Nintendo Switch and the brand new Nintendo Switch Lite for the Black Friday event, right through to the last gasp of Cyber Monday.

So whether you’re looking to treat yourself, or someone else, this will be one of the best opportunities of the year to bag a top Nintendo Switch deal.

Black Friday 2019 will be here faster than you think. For gamers, that means the best Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals are just weeks away. And with the introduction of the Nintendo Switch Lite, we expect to see Black Friday deals on both of Nintendo’s consoles.

But just how cheap will Nintendo’s consoles get and what stores will offer the best Nintendo Switch deals? Read on to see what this year’s Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals could look like.

Black Friday 2019 will fall on November 29, which is the day after Thanksgiving. However, we expect the best Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals to hit stores early to mid-November. That’s because each year Black Friday deals start earlier than the previous year.

And because 2019 will have a shorter holiday shopping period, we expect retailers to offer fast and furious deals the minute Halloween is over.

We’re used to looking for the best offers all year round over on our deals page for the cheapest Nintendo Switch bundles. So we know a great deal when we see one, which is super handy as a lot of retailers put up some real stinkers over the big sales event where you don’t actually save any cash over buying separately. We’ve been covering Black Friday sales on all things gaming for years now, so we’ve got a good idea of what to expect from all the biggest retailers.

Make no mistake, Nintendo’s portable console is going to be in huge demand around Black Friday. ‘Nintendo Switch’ was the most searched for item on Amazon this year on Prime Day and we’re certain it’s going to be one of the Holiday’s hottest items.

With a new version of the console, the Nintendo Switch Lite, hitting shelves recently there’ll be an even wider choice of bundles than ever before.

It’s not just about console hardware when it comes to Nintendo Switch on Black Friday, though, as we’ve come to expect some great offers on Nintendo Switch games and accessories too.

So if you’re after some extra Joy-Cons, carry cases and memory cards, then it’s totally worth keeping your eyes peeled for some great bargains.

Or better yet, let us do the hard work for you. Feel free to bookmark this page as we’ll be bringing you all the best Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals on consoles, games, and accessories.

Nintendo Switch Black Friday 2018

November 18, 2018 Update – Most of the Nintendo Switch deals are now in, and it seems like GameStop is the clear winner. It is offering a $50 gift card with all Switch bundles, which gives it the best overall value. Kohl’s is offering free $90 in Kohl’s Cash for its bundle, so that is another one to check out.

If you’re planning to buy a Nintendo Switch during the holidays, be sure to review all the information here about the best Nintendo Switch Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.

One of the hottest video game consoles out there is the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has always been a beloved favorite and its latest console takes Mario and his friends to the next level of gaming. We have all the information you need to know about this console if you’re planning to buy a Nintendo Switch this year.

Our BestBlackFriday.com team will be rounding up deals on the Nintendo Switch for Black Friday and Cyber Monday as they’re announced.

We’re not just here for the Friday party either. Retailers start the sales earlier and earlier every year as they try to get the jump on each other, so we’ll be looking for offers in the run-up to Black Friday, through the weekend, Cyber Monday and beyond – we’re expecting to be filling this page with cutting-edge deals at least a week in advance of the ‘proper’ Black Friday deals.

Ok, let’s do this. What prices do we expect, or really hope, to see Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals go for? Well, let’s be optimistic and say we’ll get something better than last year’s best.

That essentially saw the Switch bundled with a single Triple-A game for no extra charge on the $299 MSRP in the US – much like the Black Friday the year before that one too. We’re expecting something closer to $250 this year, ideally with a Triple-A game.

In the UK, we’re thinking we’ll see something similar around the £250 mark, but we think £300 bundles with a couple of games or a mix of software and accessories are more likely. And in Australia, we’d expect to see that AU$329 price comes back for the console on its own as nothing has come close since then.

There will probably be lots of other deals with third-party games (titles not published by Nintendo itself) that could go a touch cheaper, or maybe include more games at once or a mix of third-party and Nintendo titles. NBA 2K20, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, Crash Team Racing, and more are prime for discounts and bundles.

Nintendo Switch Black Friday 2017

You’re probably thinking these prices are a bit expensive for a console that’s been out since March 2017? We completely agree, but here’s the thing; Nintendo hates discounting its own hardware (just like its own games) so it’s not exactly known for going out of its way to knock money off the base price or sell large amounts of stock on the cheap to its suppliers.

Don’t forget the Nintendo Switch has sold really well since launch, too. It’s a natural at retail, it’s got the TV ads running all year keeping it in the public’s mind for Christmas presents and the portable nature of the console makes it popular over the summer too for taking on holidays or keeping kids quiet in the back of the car.

With demand as strong as it is, Nintendo and its retail partners know too well it’s going to sell well regardless of whether the bundles really offer any massive discounts.

But we know there will be some treasure, hidden amongst all the bloated bundles and we’ll be right there to highlight them for you.

Despite being generally marketed as a family-friendly console (and it sure is), Nintendo’s lineup of stunning first-party titles (seriously, check out our list of the best Nintendo Switch games) has made it the must-buy console for many regular gamers – even those who already own a PS4 or Xbox One.

Given we’re expecting brand new machines from Sony and Microsoft (with the PS5 and Xbox Project Scarlett respectively) towards the end of 2020, this could be the Nintendo Switch’s last Black Friday with essentially no competition.

Yes, we’re anticipating the Xbox One S and PS4 Slim bundles to crash under the $200/£200 barriers this year, but the numbers of people who want one of those consoles and haven’t yet bought one must be small, to say the least.

The Nintendo Switch, on the other hand, is still a tempting purchase for most gamers yet to get one now the collection of games has built up more.

Nintendo Switch Games Black Friday

Black Friday as a single day, or even a weekend event, is really not a thing anymore. It’s sneaking earlier, and earlier, in the month of November, meaning the Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals will arrive in the weeks leading up to Black Friday itself. Technically, Black Friday is on November 29, and the deals should run until the end of Cyber Monday on December 2 but expect retailers to put deals live online as early as two weeks before then.

Over on GameStop US, the highlight of last year’s Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals was a nifty little bundle that basically got you free money. A neon Switch at the regular, but it also came with a $50 GameStop voucher, and a $35 Nintendo eShop voucher, effectively earning you $85 to spend on games for your brand new Switch.

Plus, eBay UK had a glorious deal on the Neon Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Zelda: Breath of the Wild for only £299. That’s the same as the usual RRP, but with two of the best Nintendo Switch games bundled in for free. Delicious.

This year, you should also expect deals on the Nintendo Switch Lite – which comes in Yellow, Gray, or Turquoise, and there’s a special Pokemon Sword and Shield Limited Edition version too.

And, be aware, the original launch model of the Switch is still on sale at some retailers. If you can, try and get the newer version, which comes with an improved battery life of 4.5 – 9 hours compared to the original’s 2.5 – 6.5 hours, but you’re much more likely to get a Black Friday Nintendo Switch deal on the older model. You can quickly tell whether it’s an old or new Nintendo Switch model by the box. The new console comes packaged in an all-red box, while the original model has an image of a TV hovering in the background:

Last year we saw Amazon knocking $50 / £30 off the standard RRP of the console, and even sometimes bundling in a game for around that price making for some of the best Nintendo Switch bundles of all time. We’d expect to see a similar range of deals available on the new Switch model, and probably slightly more of a 2018 model too.

When it comes to the Nintendo Switch Lite deals, we’d imagine that you could get a $20 – $30 / £15 – £25 – although, because the console will be mere months old, it could be that we don’t see many deals at all. After all, the console’s USP already is that it is much more affordable.

Nintendo Switch Bundle Black Friday

The best thing about Black Friday Nintendo Switch deals is that, even if you’re already the proud owner of Ninty’s latest console, it’s the perfect time of year to treat yourself to a few accessories or controllers – or even stock up on some Christmas gifts for your Ninty loving family and friends. Here’s what you should also look out for in terms of Black Friday deals:

1. Joy-Cons

Nabbing yourself a spare pair of Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons is a useful investment. Not only do they come in a range of colors, letting you switch up your Switch’s look whenever – and wherever – you want, but having an extra pair means instant four-player Mario Kart sessions. And who doesn’t want that? But the problem is that they are an investment. These dinky pads cost $79.99 / £64.99 a pair, so you’re not going to splash the cash on them without thinking about it. You should be able to cut at least $10 / £10 off that RRP comes Black Friday, which is a good deal on these as they very rarely have any money off whatsoever.

2. Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

Sometimes you gotta go pro for your controller needs, and you can’t get much more professional than the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller. If you’re looking to get this Nintendo Switch controller cheap, you will be rewarded by waiting until Black Friday, as it’s only here that we really see any money off the Pro Pad, which tends to stick very close to its $69.99 / £54.99 RRP.

3. Headsets

Getting up close and personal with the Switch is the best way to play, so watch out for our pick of the best Nintendo Switch headset options cropping up over Black Friday. Because, after all, your ears deserve the best, right?

4. Other accessories

Whether it’s Nintendo Labo deals, offers on the best case for Nintendo Switch, offers on spare Nintendo Switch chargers, or just the full gamut of Nintendo Switch accessories, Black Friday will no doubt have you covered. We’ll be here though, trawling the various online retailers to make sure that we bring you the best of the best, so stay tuned.
